Carolina Trella is Ph.D. candidate in Social Psychology at the University of Kent, investigating the psycho-sociological barriers to collective action against climate change. During this first half of the episode, we talked about conspiracy theories, psychological barriers to individual action, and the need for stronger action. The realization that people use defensive mechanisms to combat the anxiety and guilt that come trying to handle the climate crisis.
